Characteristics
The primary pollutants in this project include small amounts of organic solvents, ammonia nitrogen, salts, and dust. The main recalcitrant components are organic solvents, which contribute to the complexity of the wastewater. Some streams are not easily biodegradable and may even be toxic. Additionally, the salt content in the wastewater can adversely affect biological treatment processes.
