Characteristics

The wastewater composition is complex, containing sulfur, alkalis, salts, and phenols. It has a wide variety of inhibitory substances, significant fluctuations in pollutant concentrations, and large variations in pH.

Description

A sudden surge in influent ammonia nitrogen load exceeded the system's treatment capacity, resulting in an ammonia shock and effluent non-compliance.


Option

Alkalinity was supplemented and nitrifying bacteria were added. By applying our MicroMotion®-N, the nitrification system was rapidly restored.


Result

After inoculating with MicroMotion®-Neffluent ammonia nitrogen levels dropped significantly within 2–5 days; by day 7, levels were  5mg/L.

Following commissioning, effluent ammonia remained consistently  5mg/L..
