Description
A sudden surge in influent ammonia nitrogen load exceeded the system's treatment capacity, resulting in an ammonia shock and effluent non-compliance.
Option
Alkalinity was supplemented and nitrifying bacteria were added. By applying our MicroMotion®-N, the nitrification system was rapidly restored.
Result
After inoculating with MicroMotion®-N,effluent ammonia nitrogen levels dropped significantly within 2–5 days; by day 7, levels were ≤ 5 mg/L.
Following commissioning, effluent ammonia remained consistently ≤ 5 mg/L..
