Biological Phosphorus Supplementation in Paper Mill Wastewater Treatment

Solution:Bio Max® -Phos was applied as a biological phosphorus enhancer. Through technical adjustments, the solution reduced treatment costs and addressed phosphorus deficiency in the wastewater.

Result

Through the application of Bio Max®-Phos, the following outcomes were observed:

1. The wastewater's phosphorus content was sufficient to meet the biological demand in both anaerobic and aerobic stages, which improved COD removal efficiency in the anaerobic section.

2. Bio Max®-Phos was readily absorbed by microorganisms in the sludge, improving sludge settling performance without affecting effluent quality.

3. While meeting technical requirements, the phosphorus supplementation cost per ton of water was reduced.
