Biological treatment systems are composed of thousands of species of bacteria, fungi, protozoa, metazoans, algae, and more. The system selectively acclimates and cultivates indigenous microorganisms with dominant functional advantages. However, changes in water volume, pollutant load, pollution factors, or climate can cause indigenous microorganisms to fail to adapt to altered environmental conditions. By introducing and inoculating with high-efficiency microorganisms, the MicroMotion® series provides microbial strains with survival advantages far beyond those of typical native microbes.
